License

When you purchase Northline, Aftertype Studio grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the theme on one production Ghost site at a time (the “Licensed Site”). The license is single-site; it does not transfer ownership of Northline or its intellectual property to you.

You may use the version you purchased permanently on the Licensed Site, subject to these license terms. The license terms in effect on your purchase date apply to that purchase.

You may install additional copies locally and on private development or staging environments when those copies are used solely to develop, test, or maintain the Licensed Site. A publicly accessible publication serving real readers counts as a production site and requires its own license.

You may give employees, contractors, or an agency access to the theme files only when they need that access to build, operate, or maintain the Licensed Site on your behalf. They may not reuse the files for another site or product, and you remain responsible for their compliance with this license.

An agency or freelancer may purchase and install a single-site license for one named client site. The theme files may be handed to that client solely for operating and maintaining that Licensed Site; they may not be reused for another client.

You may modify Northline for the Licensed Site, including its templates, styles, scripts, translations, and configuration. Your modifications do not give you the right to distribute, sublicense, or sell Northline or a theme derived from it as a standalone product.

You are responsible for maintaining your modifications. Support does not cover problems caused solely by custom code, third-party integrations, or changes made outside the documented configuration options.

You may move the license to a different production site, provided Northline is removed from the previous production site and is never used on more than one production site at the same time.

If ownership of the Licensed Site is transferred, the license may be transferred with that site. You must stop using the theme, provide the new owner with these terms, and contact support@aftertype.studio if the license activation or customer details need to be updated. The license may not be transferred separately from the Licensed Site.

12 months of product updates and support are included from the purchase date. During that period, you may download updates released for Northline and request support within the scope described on the Aftertype support page.

When the included period ends, you may continue using the last version made available to you. Access to later feature updates and support may require an optional renewal if a renewal plan is offered. There is no automatic renewal unless this is explicitly stated and accepted at checkout.

The stated support period does not limit any mandatory rights to conformity, remedies, or updates that apply under consumer law.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, share, or otherwise make the theme files available except as expressly allowed above. This restriction applies to the original files and to modified versions.

You may not use Northline, or substantial parts of it, to create a competing theme, template, starter kit, website builder, marketplace item, or other product intended for distribution or resale. You may not remove copyright or license notices included with the theme.

Aftertype Studio retains all rights, title, and interest in Northline that are not expressly granted by this license. Third-party libraries, fonts, images, or other materials included with or demonstrated in Northline remain subject to their own license terms.

Demo content and preview images are not included unless the product description or download package expressly says otherwise.

This license remains valid unless you materially breach its terms. If a breach is capable of being corrected, Aftertype Studio may ask you to correct it within a reasonable period. If the breach is not corrected, or cannot be corrected, the license may be terminated and you must stop using and delete all copies of Northline under that license.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination, including mandatory consumer rights.

This license forms part of the terms applicable to your purchase. Payment, taxes, transaction processing, and refunds may also be governed by the buyer terms of the authorized reseller or merchant of record shown at checkout.

This license is governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence.
